While TAMU doesn't have any business relationships with local ISPs, the university is connected to the Bryan/College Station Network Access Point (BCS-NAP). This allows BCS-NAP connected ISPs (some of which are deploying high-speed technologies such as ADSL and cable modems) to locally access the TAMU campus network.
The result is that students, faculty and staff who choose to use a BCS-NAP connected ISP using one of these new technologies will have high-speed, reliable access to TAMU.
